You can’t miss kohl rabi, with its stalks growing out of its spacey globe. Despite appearances, it is a veg. And just for a kick, this one's a fetching shade of eye-catching red (ace for beautifying salads). It's part of the brassica family like cabbage and is lovely raw in salads or cooked (great in a gratin).
