It almost works as a cleanser, with its cleansing abilities it penetrates the pores and expels clogged dirt and oil accumulation allowing the skin to breathe. Shea Butter benefits also include wound-healing (anti-bacterial) properties to heal skin problems in a healthy, soothing way.
This is sourced from from a Women's Co-Operative Scheme in Ghana and made in the traditional method. Being in such a natural state, occasionally fine remnants of shea nut fibre may be visible in the butter, but this is very normal for a natural unrefined butter.
